In two weeks I'll be in PA - and it'll be raining the entire time I'm there! Not surprising.

It actually got cold here today - about 71. I almost needed a sweater.

3/18/17
I'm in a group of cat ladies online. Today, one of them needed to get three orphan newborns who wouldn't latch onto the bottle over to a woman who has a nursing mamacat - over in Mesa. So I got to spend some quality time driving these adorable newborns across town. All three of them could fit in my palm. At the same time.

I feel bad (sort of) that it's snowing back east. It's in the 90's here, I've ben in the pool every chance I get. Verrado needs an adults-only pool.

I love the floors! Love love love.

I made - and canceled - an appt for Marvin to see the kitty psychiatrist and get some kitty Prozac. I've got Toby, Miss Mona and Claude (the scaredy cats) in the guest room, and all is calm for now. Rocky is alright, and Mr. Adams is hiding out but not terrified. Luther (the cat I'm catsitting) isn't scared of anything. He's bigger than Frank and hisses if you look at him funny. So for now, everything is going OK.

Except for the incredibly boring drive, I like going to Tucson. This weekend is th Tucson Festival of Books at the University of Arizona. It's such a beautiful city, and the temps are slightly cooler than Phoenix (not this weekend tho - it's 90 here and 90 there). I drove down last night and stayed with my friends Yessica and Brian, who used to live here in Verrado. Spent the morning at the Festival, and drove back to Buckeye this afternoon. Eve and Sarah both had to cancel on the trip, which was disappointing, but then again, I'm glad I had the time to move at my own pace. The university campus is beautiful, and it was awash in books, which made it more so.

I picked up my crew from Alex, and got the kitties all settled in at home. They all seem to like the new tiles - and so do I! They're gorgeous and it'll be much easier to keep them clean than the carpet.

Marvin continues to be a little shit tho. He's terrorizing the other cats and stressing them out. He does get along with the lady cats and the boy kitten that's here, and oddly enough he gets along with Frank, but he justs drives Claude, Toby, Rocky, Mr. Adams, Random Kitty, the cat I'm cat-sitting (don't ask) nuts. I'm very tempted to find him a new home - while he and Frank were away, the house was much calmer.

The carpet is being torn up as we speak. My house is a mess, I had to take out all of the books and tchotchkes and smaller furniture, so that's all piled up in the library and living room. My friend Alex very kindly took five of the kitties for the week, so they don't go zooming out the front door every time it opens. She's going to keep them til Sunday, since I'm roadripping to Tucson with Eve and our friend Sarah for the weekend to go to the book festival.
