My April trip to Tubac/Nogales is off.

My Uncle Bob died unexpectedly in his sleep - the wake will be on Saturday, just outside of Dallas. I'm considering if I should drive or fly. Sad week.

My Arizona Bucket List includes, "visit Mexico," so I'm going to make a roadtrip in a few weeks with the goal of walking across into Nogales and doing some shopping. Booked a room in Tucson, and I'm going to visit Tubac and then drive to the border. Yay! That'll be my April trip - then May is PA/NY, and June is CatCon in LA.

It's been gorgeous here - this is the weather we love, before the onslaught of triple-digit temps. I still have the windows open and the fans going. I'm sure the AC will be on soon enough.

Taxes - done! And I'm actually getting a refund. This "having a mortgage" thing and "being a grownup" is paying off, literally. Of course, the refund will go entirely to my Visa bill, but it's the thought that counts.

Seeing Evita tonight, super excited! And I bought tix for DBacks/Pirates (to see my future husband, Francisco Cervelli) and for DBacks/Yankees (to see the uniform, I guess, since all the good players are retired now, that makes me feel old).

Still March - we're in a cold snap here. High of 72, maybe rain. Brr.

Everyone at work is coming down with bronchitis or pneumonia. This winter has been no joke. And it's the lingering kind, too. I was sick right after New Year's, and then again at the end of January - I wound up having Eve take me to the ER two days before I left for Costa Rica, because I was still congested and coughing and short of breath. Thank goodness it was "just" viral bronchitis. I think I'm finally over it, I feel 100% better now, but my coworkers are still getting hit.

Oh hey, it's baseball season!!

Eve and our friend Alex and I went to the Arizona Ren Faire last weekend - super fun! I hadn't been to one since I was a kid. This time, being "adultier," we dressed up. Eve is the clothing master (mistress?) and she dolled me up in a cleavage-enhancing corset and blouse. It was sexy and fun, until it got too warm to breathe. It's been 85-90 during the afternoons, but since I sleep through that part of the day, I haven't turned on the AC yet this year. It's also supposed to get cooler and and probably rain on the weekend.
